In this heatwave its been a relief to stay indoors and weave. This weekend I have been working on a second stained glass piece taken from the early 20th Century shrine at Walsingham. The close up of the glass is so small that it is almost works as a pure abstract image. The glass is worked in Como silk, though the colour range is very limited. I am weaving with bobbins from the reverse of the tapestry in good 19th Century style. I just find weaving from the reverse so much easier as you can control joins and loose ends so much more easily.
